Crystal Martin has significantly contributed to Indigenous Geographic as its co-producer and co-executive director. Her leadership ensures that productions are culturally sensitive and authentically represent Inuit perspectives. Crystal’s career is a testament to her profound impact on Inuit communities and her unwavering commitment to advocacy, education, and cultural preservation.

In partnership with Métis filmmaker Matt LeMay, Crystal co-produces and co-directs various projects, infusing each with her deep understanding of Inuit culture and community engagement. Matt Lemay

Matt is a Citizen of the Métis Nation of Ontario and his root ancestors are the Clermont Dusome family that originally hails from the Red River region of Manitoba, later settling in Penetanguishene Ontario. Matt currently lives in the Ottawa Valley with his wife Jennifer and his daughters Ella and Noa.

Matt holds a Master's Degree in Management Innovation and Entrepreneurship from Queen’s University and recently received the King Charles III Coronation Medal for his impactful work uplifting and celebrating Métis culture and heritage. Totgether with Crystal and their team, Matt directs and leads by example, elevating the storytelling on Indigenous Geographic.
Owner, Lemay Media & Consulting | September 2007 - Present
A certified Indigenous business with the Canadian Council of Aboriginal Business and a renowned best selling educational documentary filmmaking and production company, LeMay Media has produced over 30 documentaries and 700 corporate videos to clients across Canada. LeMay Media also offers Indigenous-led community development strategies and solutions, cinematography, directing, editing and drone image capturing and has supported various levels of government, businesses and organizations with communication and community development strategies.
